§ 130.02. UNAUTHORIZED PRESENCE ON SCHOOL GROUNDS.

  • (A) It shall be unlawful for any person to loiter in or upon, or be in or upon any of the public school buildings or public school grounds within the corporate limits of the city between the hours of 5:00 p.m. of any day, and 7:00 a.m. of the succeeding day.
    (B) The right and power is conferred upon any janitor or school officer in charge of the buildings and grounds to arrest any person found violating the provisions of this section, and it is hereby made their duty to arrest such persons and to take them forthwith before the city court and prefer charges against them for the violations.
    (C) Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit the teachers in the schools, and the officers in charge thereof, or persons attending school functions, such as plays, programs, and athletic events, from being in or upon the buildings and grounds between the hours above prescribed.
