§ 113.04. LICENSE APPLICATION; FEE.

  • (A) Each transient merchant or solicitor desiring to do business within the corporate limits of the city shall file his verified application for license for that purpose with the Clerk-Treasurer at least seven days prior to beginning business.
    (B) The application shall state his name, residence, room, building, vehicle, railway car, store, shop, vacant lot or parking lot, tent, or structure, in which he expects to do business, and the make and character of the goods, wares, and merchandise he intends to sell, or offer to sell, the length of time he desires to do business in the city.
    (C) At the same time, he shall deposit a receipt from the Clerk-Treasurer of the city, which shall show that the applicant has paid to the Clerk-Treasurer the sum of $300 for the first 120 days, or any part thereof for which such applicant desires to engage in business as a transient merchant or solicitor.
