§ 90.26. OBTAINING LICENSE.

  • (A) Application for a license shall be made at the animal shelter.
    (B) The application, one per animal, shall include the name and address of the applicant, a description of the animal, a current rabies certificate issued by a veterinarian, and information indicating whether the applicant or anyone living at the same address has been convicted of cruelty to animals.
    (C) If the applicant withholds or falsifies any information in the application, the license shall be null and void.
    (D) No person who has been convicted of cruelty to animals or found guilty of § 90.04(D) of this chapter or has someone who has been convicted of cruelty to animals living at the same address, shall be issued a license.
    (E) No person will be issued a license with outstanding adjudicated fines in accordance with this chapter.
    (F) Application for a license must be made when the animal reaches the age of four months.
    (G) When a person obtains an animal older than four months, a license must be applied for within l5 days.
